Wow - so much different from our trip with David! I believe you captured the mood there. So the leaves are floating on the pond?
Yes, and there was still live duckweed under the cypress leaves. Interesting place.
I imagine entitling a slim volume of nature verse Duckweed under the Cypress Leaves, with this image on its cover.
how about "weeds of leaves"?

At Heron Pond I was amazed to find the Bald Cypress had turned and were dropping leaves. Nikon D3, ISO 200, 1/25 at f/8, Nikon 24-70mm lens, WB 5000k, Gitzo Carbon Fiber Tripod w/RRS Head.
