Concrete Face 1


I stumbled upon this late today. Nikon D100, ISO 200, 50mm f/2.5, 1/640s. Lightroom 2 B&W High Contrast conversion.

Thanks, Ray. The statue is in Forest Park near the old World's Fair grand entrance. This is part of my Helmut Newton research series. I'm trying to work out, using subjects that are not intrinsically disturbing, how Newton was able to create an eerie mood using only composition and natural light.
