Obama comes to STL

Me and the wifey got to meet the President last night. Here's a little photo journalism from the evening.

Awesome shots, Ben! And you look quite dapper, if I may say. How did you got about the grayscale conversion? It looks really clean.

Thanks Preston. I shot the images in B/W. Aside from cropping them in pshop, most of the images came out of the camera that way. There is obvious burning on the Obama ticket, and I ran a shadow/highlight adjustment on one of the images, but like I said, I just shot them in B/W.

Great shots! These are amazing for in-camera b&w, and the exposure is really good on the podium shots. Which camera and lens?

We wanted to be there but waited too long to get tickets.

Ben - Agreed with Ray, the results are very good for in-camera monochrome. You generally shoot JPEG, yes?

Yes, I am a JPEGer. I haven't shot RAW in years.
